Prevent Stroke

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Have you ever wondered why every visit to a doctor’s office, hospital, clinic, or any other health related place always begins with a check of your blood pressure? Because high blood pressure is dangerous and keeping blood pressure at normal levels will prevent stroke.

Well, high blood pressure, also known as “hypertension”, the “silent disease” or the “silent killer” is the measure of pressure that the blood exerts against the wall of your arteries as your heart pumps.

There are people who have dangerously high blood pressure and yet they don’t know it because there are no symptoms for weeks, months, or even years. It is always better to avoid high blood pressure. (more…)

Avoid high blood pressure

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Blood Pressure is understandably a major concern for many people. I personally, battled it and have spent more hours researching and developing treatment for it than I or my wife (who’s really smart by the way) could ever count. Natural blood pressure remedies are need of the hour.

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is usually considered a reading over 140/90. 120/80 to 139/89 is considered pre-hypertension. The top number is called the systolic which is considered high if it is 120 or above. It is better to avoid high blood pressure.

Why is this important? Two-thirds of people over the age of sixty-five have high blood pressure. Some experts even consider this number conservative. In fact, many people who are age 50 or older, have pre-hypertension. (more…)

Prevent Stroke

Blood pressure is called “hypertension” in the medical
world. When your blood pressure is consistently above the
ideal 120/80, you are generally considered “hypertensive”. A
high blood pressure is genetically predisposed in some
individuals, but aside from genes, there are other factors
that also contribute to it.

To make you better understand high blood pressure or
hypertension, you should know what hypertension really is.
When your blood pressure is taken, what is actually measured
is the amount of pressure your blood is exerting against the
walls of your blood vessels. When you get a higher number,
it means that more pressure is being forced against those
walls.

Imagine a balloon with water being filled in it. When more
water is being put in the balloon, it stretches out to
contain the waterup to a certain point. You will see the
balloon thinning out as it gets fuller, and eventually
breaks if you continue putting water into it. So you should be nature oriented to avoid high blood pressure

If you allow your blood pressure to get high and remain
there unchecked, your vessels will suffer the same fate as
the overfilled balloon. They can and will eventually burst.
The location of the burst vessel determines the severity of
the results. If it’s a brain vessel, you can have a stroke.
If it’s a vessel that feeds blood to the heart, you can have
a heart attack or suffer complete heart failure. In order to prevent stroke you should keep your blood pressure down (more…)
