Reduce Blood Pressure

October 23rd, 2009

It’s no surprise to my friends and family that I pride myself on living a healthy lifestyle.  This is why, I suppose only half-joking, that they refer to my daily Grande coffee from Starbucks as my “vice.”

A friend recently told me to “watch out,” while at Starbucks the other day as I drank my coffee because her doctor told her that coffee can contribute to high blood pressure, or hypertention. Read the rest of this entry »

Cure high blood pressure naturally

October 18th, 2009

I am extremely fortunate in my position to be able to receive direct feedback from my clients.  They let me know personally, how my program has helped and ask follow up questions to help ensure they are as healthy as they can possibly be.  Sometimes, the same question comes up and its good to be able to address the answer to many.

Several of you have asked if there is a link between Vitamin D deficiency and hypertension (high blood pressure).

Vitamin D is actually several different vitamins ” Vitamin D2 and D3 specifically.  Vitamin D3 is produced when a persons skin is exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light.  In fact, sunlight is the easiest way to get the required amount of Vitamin D. Read the rest of this entry »

Lower Blood Pressure

October 15th, 2009

Blood pressure concerns are completely understandable.  I suffered from high blood pressure myself and now spend my time researching this problem as well as many other health conditions.

In general, a reading of 140 over 90 is considered “high.”  120 over 80 up to 139 over 89 is usually considered “pre-hypertension.”  The top number is called the systolic pressure.

Why are these numbers that important?  As we age, hypertension tends to be more prevalent.  In fact, it is estimated that up to two thirds of the population over age 65 have high blood pressure.  Some even believe the increase begins around age 50.

If not treated, hypertension can continue to put strain on the heart which can then increase the chances of heart attacks or strokes.

In addition to the heart, other organs can be affected such as the kidneys. Read the rest of this entry »

Hypertension Medications

October 9th, 2009

I was about to doze off when I heard the words heart attack and stroke.  This was matter of factly mentioned in conjunction with the advertisement for high blood pressure medicine.

I can’t even tell you how many people I hear from due to this very concern.  They have turned to my natural High Blood Pressure Program to avoid these side effects and more.

I am very familiar with the host of problems various drugs can bring.  However, I never tire of researching it just the same.  I am amazed all over again when reviewing the side effects of the various drugs people have mentioned.

140 over 90 is typically considered high blood pressure. Read the rest of this entry »

Natural Methods To Lower Blood Pressure

October 6th, 2009

High blood pressure is a very common concern.  A great number of studies, research, advise etc. is out there especially in light of the serious health consequences if it is not treated.

I too have published a number of articles especially since I too suffered from hypertension.  I intend to continue this effort because it is serious but treatable.

Most people are familiar with the standard blood pressure ranges – anything over 140 over 90 is considered hypertension.  120 over 80 up to 139 over 89 is considered pre-hypertension.

Many are not aware though that even if the diastolic reading (bottom number) is low, that a high systolic reading (top number) can also affect health adversely. Read the rest of this entry »

Reduce Blood Pressure

October 1st, 2009

Very often I am receiving emails from people who have tried each and everything to lower their up to 210/140 high blood pressure. They are using medicines for about a decade and also tried all the supplements that are known to humans.

I also came to know that their parents, grandparents and also their aunts and uncles had suffered from soaring blood pressure. So, it is present in their genes, right?

Nearly every time, they do have the same sort of question….

“Could this program help me in such a bad situation?”

As this is a frequent question, I have decided to explain it here on this blog.

You see, hypertension is of course partly caused by genetic factors or wrong bad modern days diet. But that is only a small part of the problem. Emotions and thinking patterns plays much bigger part. Read the rest of this entry »

CAUSE OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

September 23rd, 2009

If I have one weakness in my otherwise healthy lifestyle, it’s my large cup of great coffee, everyday.  Not one for wanting to own “vices,” I wonder as to why coffee, in moderation, is considered to be one.

A good friend recently said that her doctor told her she had to quit drinking coffee due to her hypertension (high blood pressure).

I found it very interesting that the doctor  told her to give up coffee rather than three other habits which to me, seemed to be of higher concern than drinking coffee:  Over-eating, smoking cigarettes and alcohol consumption.

HYPERTENSION

September 21st, 2009

High Blood Pressure can affect anyone.  We know there are some people that are more prone to high blood pressure than others, everyone is a potential candidate.

Neither race nor age secures a barrior from hypertension AKA: High Blood Pressure.

There are those who don’t “eat right”, never exercise and are over weight who have desired blood pressure readings.  And then there are those who seem to do everything right, have desirable weight and yet have out of sight readings.

Being Overweight Increases Risk for Hypertension

September 19th, 2009

It’s a sad statistic – depending on the study, anywhere from a quarter to one-half of all Americans today are overweight. It’s not just the adults – almost 14% of all children weight than they should, a sharp increase from not quite 5% only a few decades ago.

Experts say the main reason for this is that exercising is being done less and less by the average American.  And as household income increases, so does the intake of unhealthy foods.

While most schools require credits in Physical Education or JROTC for graduation, the growing number of overweight children tells us that these programs aren’t doing as well as we hoped for.

12 Ways To Avoid High Blood Pressure?

September 17th, 2009

Medical people who have researched about high blood pressure for decades say about 95% of high blood pressure incidents have unknown causes.  You can even have it without you knowing it, even if you think you are healthy.  You must constantly know your blood pressure and have it checked regularly, because of the risk.

Both Coffee and smoking will raise your blood pressure temporarily so be sure you don’t smoke or drink coffee for at least thirty minutes before you have your blood pressure taken. If you’re a smoker, you should know this puts you at greater risk for developing high blood pressure than a non-smoker.

Other reasons that increase your risk include high cholesterol, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, or other medical conditions, or if you’re over the age of 60, or if you are of menopausal age.  When you check your blood pressure, it is normal that there will be fluctuations.  A one time high reading doesn’t mean you have hypertension necessarily.  You should be alarmed when those readings are consistently high, because that is the time when a diagnosis is made.  The medications that you are taking may also contribute to the rise in your blood pressure.
