Someone asked me recently about depression treatment.  He purchased the Reduce High Blood Pressure Program and jokingly asked if he could be depressed from it.

This is in fact no joke. Researches have shown direct link between high blood pressure and depression. Going both ways. And if one can keep blood pressure under control then they can prevent stroke too.

Depression as the Primary and Hypertenstion as the result:  People suffering from chronic depression or other anxiety are up to three times more likely to also develop high blood pressure.

What makes things worse is that people who have depression are more likely to over eat, smoke and drink too much. And they’re less likely to seek treatment to reduce high blood pressure.

However, surprisingly, even the people involved in the study who did not engage in poor eating habits, smoking etc. also suffered from high blood pressure.

What’s the main cause of hypertension for people suffering depression is a change in hormones.

Another factor are medications taken for depression which can have high blood pressure as side effects.

So there is a definite link between high blood pressure and depression.

Now we’ll look at hypertension as the initial issue.

The link here tends to lead back to the high blood pressure medication.  The side effects clearly state on many medications:  DEPRESSION.

This shows us clearly how often trying to solve one issue actually creates another.

And although the person who asked about depression was half joking, there is not doubt anxiety that goes along with knowing the hypertensive condition exists.

We know very well that stress is the cause of so many different conditions. It’s therefore no surprise that it also causes high blood pressure and depression. If you reduce stress you can also prevent stroke

Things that will help with hypertension, no matter what causes it:

Don’t drink to excess.  In fact, some people see a spike in blood pressure after just a drink or two, and in those cases drinking is not recommended at all. If you stop excessive drinking then you can also prevent stroke

If you smoke, quit as soon as possible. Hypertension among many other things that smoking causes.

Dine healthy. Try to eat enough fruits and vegetable and avoid sugar.

I have created several natural health guides. Including my natural blood pressure exercise program and weight loss breeze – which uses simple exercises to increase the oxygen level in the body and improve metabolism.
