CAUSE OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

If I have one weakness in my otherwise healthy lifestyle, it’s my large cup of great coffee, everyday.  Not one for wanting to own “vices,” I wonder as to why coffee, in moderation, is considered to be one.

A good friend recently said that her doctor told her she had to quit drinking coffee due to her hypertension (high blood pressure).

I found it very interesting that the doctor  told her to give up coffee rather than three other habits which to me, seemed to be of higher concern than drinking coffee:  Over-eating, smoking cigarettes and alcohol consumption.

HYPERTENSION

High Blood Pressure can affect anyone.  We know there are some people that are more prone to high blood pressure than others, everyone is a potential candidate.

Neither race nor age secures a barrior from hypertension AKA: High Blood Pressure.

There are those who don’t “eat right”, never exercise and are over weight who have desired blood pressure readings.  And then there are those who seem to do everything right, have desirable weight and yet have out of sight readings.

Being Overweight Increases Risk for Hypertension

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

It’s a sad statistic – depending on the study, anywhere from a quarter to one-half of all Americans today are overweight. It’s not just the adults – almost 14% of all children weight than they should, a sharp increase from not quite 5% only a few decades ago.

Experts say the main reason for this is that exercising is being done less and less by the average American.  And as household income increases, so does the intake of unhealthy foods.

While most schools require credits in Physical Education or JROTC for graduation, the growing number of overweight children tells us that these programs aren’t doing as well as we hoped for.

12 Ways To Avoid High Blood Pressure?

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Medical people who have researched about high blood pressure for decades say about 95% of high blood pressure incidents have unknown causes.  You can even have it without you knowing it, even if you think you are healthy.  You must constantly know your blood pressure and have it checked regularly, because of the risk.

Both Coffee and smoking will raise your blood pressure temporarily so be sure you don’t smoke or drink coffee for at least thirty minutes before you have your blood pressure taken. If you’re a smoker, you should know this puts you at greater risk for developing high blood pressure than a non-smoker.

Other reasons that increase your risk include high cholesterol, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, or other medical conditions, or if you’re over the age of 60, or if you are of menopausal age.  When you check your blood pressure, it is normal that there will be fluctuations.  A one time high reading doesn’t mean you have hypertension necessarily.  You should be alarmed when those readings are consistently high, because that is the time when a diagnosis is made.  The medications that you are taking may also contribute to the rise in your blood pressure. Healthy Bloood Pressure

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

High Blood Pressure can affect anyone. While we know that there are certain types of people that are more prone to high blood pressure than others, everyone is a potential candidate.

Age does not necessarily deter high blood pressure – there are circumstances in which very young people experience it.  Race provides no protection from it either.

Some that appear to be as fit as a fiddle have dropped dead of heart attack and stroke brought on by high blood pressure. At the same time, some people that are obese have relatively normal readings.

It is a very non-discriminating disease and everyone should apply caution by keeping a frequent check on their blood pressure.

If you detect an increase in blood pressure, there are a number of things to keep in mind before panicking. A single reading is not a clear indicator of your average blood pressure. The measurement of your blood pressure can vary depending when and under what circumstances it was taken.

Pain can create a brief rise in your blood pressure so having it monitored while you have a toothache or a headache can produce misleading results. The same can be said of stress. If you’ve had a long, frustrating day at work your blood pressure might be elevated.

Don’t do things just prior to a reading that could contribute to the artificially high results – such as drinking coffee or smoking.  The best setting is one in which you’ve had a chance to relax for five or more minutes.

Once you have determined that your blood pressure is high by taking numerous readings at various times, you can begin to look at ways to reduce it. One of the key factors in blood pressure control is weight control.

Even a weight loss of a few pounds can lead to a reduction in blood pressure. A healthy lifestyle with regular exercise will benefit your body and mind in many ways.

Many foods contain extraordinary amounts of sodium – another factor in hypertension.  Increasing your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables in lieu of processed foods can result in much healthier blood pressure readings.

Breakfast cereals, luncheon meat, almost anything that has been processed has had large amounts of sodium added to it. Put down the saltshaker, eat more raw vegetables and fruits and you may be amazed at the effect it will have on your blood pressure.

Perhaps the most drastic improvement in a person’s blood pressure reading can come from simple relaxation. Stress is thought to be one of the primary contributing factors in hypertension.

Letting the body and the mind take a rest will do wonders for you. Learn how to relax more often. Many reports indicate that yoga is an excellent way to train the body to take a break.

Watch the sodium, increase physical activity and give your mind a break.  These changes can turn your physical health around.

A few minutes a day with my High Blood Pressure Progam  will bring amazing results.  The exercises are easy and can be done almost anywhere.

Stroke!  Heart Attack!  Huh?  This is what I caught while only kind of paying attention to an commercial the other night.  I hit rewind to see what they were talking about.  You guessed it.  Potential side effects of hypertension drugs.

I can’t even tell you how many people I hear from due to this very concern.  They have turned to my natural High Blood Pressure Program to avoid these side effects and more.

I am very familiar with the host of problems various drugs can bring.  However, I never tire of researching it just the same.  I am amazed all over again when reviewing the side effects of the various drugs people have mentioned.

Remember, that high blood pressure is elevated blood pressure usually above 140 over 90 or so.

Cure High Blood Pressure Naturally

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Blood pressure is called “hypertension” in the medical world. When your blood pressure is consistently above the ideal 120/80, you are generally considered “hypertensive”. A high blood pressure is genetically predisposed in some individuals, but aside from genes, there are other factors that also contribute to it.

So that you can better understand your high blood pressure, you need to know what it really is. Your blood pressure is measured by getting the amount of pressure your blood is exerting against the walls of your blood vessels. If more pressure is being forced against those walls, you will get a high number.

Think of a balloon as it is being filled with water. You will see that the balloon stretches as more and more water is being put into it. As you continue to fill the balloon, you can see that the balloon is thinning out, and eventually stretch itself to the breaking point. (more…)
