What is the relation between neck pain and depression?

I have dealt with a lot of different health problems from my clients, and I most definitely feel for them.  However, with they tell me they are suffering from chronic neck pain, usually lasting over 8 weeks, I feel lots of compassion for them.

I not only just feel empathy for people suffering from chronic neck pain; I feel it for any other health condition they are suffering from.  If you have looked through my articles, I feel a lot of your health problems, and that is the main reason I have came up with my programs.

The definition of chronic neck pain is pretty simple. –One feels every movement of it-. There would be night, as I was laying in bed, not only could I not sleep, but it ran through my head on how this neck pain  going to interfere the rest of my life.

More than half of Americans have felt some kind of neck pain, approximately ten percent, are suffering from a chronic neck pain condition.  I really have to watch what I do during everyday activities.  I don’t want to make my condition worse, and I imagine you don’t want to either.

Knowing that I have gave up a lot of my passions, has led to anxiety, restlessness at night, grinding teeth, and worse of all, dashed hopes.

All though my neck pain, was an injury due to a serve accident, I have often times wondered if the pain has only increased due to growing anxiety and depression. I have never actually realize how much more depression I have suffered from this pain.

I have come to find out; I am not the only one asking myself the same question. A recent study has been done in Germany focusing on neck pain, shows that 30% of patients have not only suffered from neck pain, but also depression/anxiety.

The people who participated in this study showed extreme levels of not only depression but anxiety as well.

We will never be able to point out what actually causes our health conditions, this is an endless cycle. Every little thing from an injury to insomnia could cause us to have neck pain. Then when we sit around and ponder it, the stress can only make it worse.

Even though the injury of our neck is bad enough the way it is, it also doesn’t help the other symptoms that we suffer from that only worsen it.

Nobody wants to live with chronic neck pain, so this is why I would like to recommend you my Neck Pain Guide .
