I sometimes get comments from clients that kind of seem off the wall. However, I am willing to try to help everybody with their own health conditions, so I will start doing research to see what I am able to come up with to help them.
I recent question I have just been asked is, if a clients diet has been affecting their neck, causing serve pain. My main question after looking at my clients questions was, could the food they are really eating be causing so much neck pain?
I would first like to look at the anatomy of the neck. The neck is a “springy” structure to hold our heads. Our necks are not as durable for protecting our spine as our backs. In other words, we are more likely to have a neck injury than anything else related to the spine.
Any injury over the years can really affect the level of pain in your neck. However, I just want you to know that there is not a drug or food that will work special magic to make your pain go away.
Even though, food can’t cure our neck pain, it can help if we eat healthy. The nutrients in the food help our skeletal, nerve, and muscle symptoms.
Omega-3 actually will help reduce inflammation, which will lead to neck distress. Some foods that you can find Omega-3 in are: Fish, seeds, leafy green veggies, and nuts. Another way to help reduce the pain is making sure you are getting enough antioxidants and fiber.
Calcium and Vitamin D are important to have our bones stay strong. If you are taking supplements, this can be very dangerous. They can sculpture and cause difficulties if too much are taken.
Eating veggies, fruit, whole grains, soybeans, and legumes is very important. These foods are high in magnesium. Magnesium plays a high role in our muscles.
It is every important to keep our bodies hydrated by drinking the recommend 8 glasses of water a day. If not, this can damage muscles and nerves.
Not only can some food help eliminate neck discomfort, but there are also foods that can increase pain. Staying away from foods that have high level of saturated fat only will cause more inflammation. Alcohol and smoking are two other factors that are not good for pain.
All of these can sure help you with your neck pain, but I would also like for you to spend a little time and look at the Neck Pain guide! You will be surprised!!!
