Clean Your Body Inside Out

A question struck me as I was walking in Athens. I was in Greece on my annual holiday, and as I was walking on the streets of Athens- which over the years have changed a little- I thought, "Why do we get sick ?"

While I was pondering over this question, my friends were discussing how easy it was for people to get sick in earlier times, when there were open sewages and people maintained little or no hygiene.

The answer then came to my mind as abruptly as the question had appeared. And it was the topic that my friends were discussing that made me see the answer:

What is the one reason above all due to which we get sick?
In older times, there were open gutters and a basic lack of civic sense- but people then were probably still wondering why they got sick.

Aren’t we too doing the same thing?

Agreed, in our big cities there are no open sewages and our streets are cleaner, but what about the ‘sewage ‘ inside us? Are we not filling our body- willingly or unwillingly- with harmful toxins?

The one reason above all as to why we get sick is the excess amounts of toxins in our body. You may be tempted to ask- and ask you should- isn’t our body capable of removing harmful toxins on its own?

In healthy conditions, YES, our body is capable of removing the harmful toxins on its own via the liver, colon, lungs, skin, lymph, kidneys, and other obvious forms of cleansing - sweat, urine, and bowel movements.
But, we don’t live in a healthy environment anymore, do we? Our air is polluted, the junk and processed food that we love so much is laced with chemicals, and various products we use are often filled with chemicals. And this where our body fails us, or shall I say- we fail our body by filling it with so many toxins that it becomes incapable of removing all of it through the natural process.

We talk about making our environment cleaner, but when will we begin to understand the importance of cleaning our body from the inside?
To stay healthy, our body requires two things:

  • ample amount of nutrition
  • sufficient waste and toxin removal

Every cell in our body requires efficient nutrition and healthy waste removal processes for normal functioning. Flushing out the waste is as important as taking in nutrients. While you may maintain a healthy diet, you cannot remain healthy- at least not for long if the wastes present in your body are not being properly removed.
The toxin buildup is likely to catch up with you - many common illnesses are the result of excessive amount of toxins in our body.
The buildup of toxins in our body affects us both physically and mentally. There are a wide variety of symptoms that are caused by the presence of toxins, and each of us may react differently to the presence of excess toxin in our body. Some of the common symptoms of toxic buildup are: lack of energy, stress, sluggishness, constant fatigue, and constipation.

Let us shift the focus now from the problem to its solution. The solution lies in cleaning and detoxifying our body to promote the feeling of wholesome well-being.
Here are some tips that help clean your body and restore energy:

Drink lots of water

This has been said thousand times by me and by others, and I will reiterate it again and again - drink enough water. Make it a habit to drink 2-3 liters of water every day without fail.

Exercise regularly

Regular exercise facilitates the toxin removal process. What kind of exercise you do is not as important as long as you are doing it regularly, and for a sufficient duration- say about 25-40 minutes daily.

Take detoxifying baths

Detoxify your body by taking regular detoxifying baths. Add four to six cups of Epsom salt to your bath. Additionally, you may also use lemon oil, geranium, or other essential oils to enhance your experience.

Colon Cleansing

Use a good colon cleanser for cleaning your colon. Your colon may be storing large amounts of waste and it is essential that you get rid of them. There are many natural options available for colon cleansing; use one that suits you best.

Simple hydrotherapy

Take alternate cold and hot showers about 4-5 times, each lasting for about 10-15 seconds after completing your bath.

Maintain a positive attitude

You breathe deeper and experience better bodily functions when you are relaxed. Spending some time in a sauna is a great way to cleanse your body.

With that said, I leave you with the following thought:

Clean your body inside out to stay healthy and beaming with energy.

    Dear Christian,

Many thanks for sending your messages to me. I will be 70 in November
and despite some ills I can go to work daily and generally feel well. But I
will heed your advice about cleansing and detoxification.

    Thanks again, Fletcher

Thank you, for another insightful message. I really appreciate that you bring to mind what we should already know deep inside us. Before we got so sophisticated, we probably knew the things you have been bringing to our attention. I don’t know how we got so far away from nature. The smarter we get the less we seem to know.

    Keep up the good work!
    Regards,

    Karen

    Hi Christian,
I have a problem with my stomach bloating and such and don’t want to go on drugs like my doctor wants me to. I don’t want to waste money on some formula that may or may not work. Do you have any detox formula that you would recommend?

    Linda

It’s interesting that you mentioned body cleansing because recently a friend mentioned something about it. He showed me a book he has been reading entititled The Amazing Liver and Gallbadder Flush. I read part of it and from what I can gather the author has made some valid points about body cleansing. In fact I am thinking of getting the book myself. I’ll let you know what I think about the book. ART
