How Sitting the Wrong Way Can Lead To Lifelong Health Problems

We spend most our waking hours sitting down. Think about it – we sit at the breakfast table, while commuting back and forth, while at the office… even when we wind down in front of the TV after work. We basically sit our way through daily life.

Well, there are big problems with that. Sure, it takes a lot of weight off our feet, but remember that our abdominal and back muscles tend to compensate for the lack of support our bodies are getting. Bad sitting posture can lead to several serious health problems in addition to the usual backaches and stiff necks.

How?

Basically, sitting in the wrong position causes our abdominal and back muscles to get tense and inactive. Now take note: these muscles are exactly the ones that are supposed to keep our body in balance. Weak muscles in these areas may open the door to several lifelong health concerns.

When these muscles don’t do the job as well as they’re supposed to, other muscles in the body are forced to take over. These muscles include the ones that control our breathing – especially the diaphragm muscles – which results in less efficient breathing. This, in turn, leaves our bodies starved for oxygen.

Worse, poor sitting posture also causes the neck muscles to stiffen up – and with them, connected muscles (such as the jaw and throat muscles) also get stiff. This leads to tension and blockages in the veins that bring oxygen-rich blood to the brain.

Fibromyalgia, which the medical world currently doesn’t have a known cause or cure for, is actually caused by a shortage of oxygen in the muscles.

Headaches and migraines are caused by the lack of oxygen reaching the tissues and muscles around the head.

The tension in the neck leaves the brain starved for oxygen, and often supports your head in a slightly askew way. This, I’ve realized, is the leading cause for vertigo and dizziness – it basically stems from the compromised balance system between our eyes and ears.

Hypertension, TMJ, snoring, sleep apnea, obesity… the list goes on. Often, one of these illnesses leads to many of the others, perpetuating a vicious cycle.

Hypertension, Why It Has Become So Common

In the last thirty years or so, the number of people who have suffered the effects of hypertension has increased dramatically.

Because our genes have not changed all that much in the past one hundred years or so, our genes cannot be the cause for this sudden rise in issues relating to high blood pressure.

The other popular explanation for the rise in hypertension in recent years is our changes in diet; unfortunately this can not be the entire cause either.

Fifty to one hundred years ago, many people were eating a lot more fatty food, and there were not nearly this many issues relating to hypertension.

So what is causing hypertension to be on the rise, if it is not what doctors and the medical community claims that it is?

In other words, while genes and diet may have some sort of an effect on the number of people suffering from hypertension today, and the surprising growth over the past thirty years or so, there is a completely different cause that not enough people have made themselves aware of.

The stressful life that we live actually has a surprisingly powerful impact on our bodies and our health, and leading a stressful life can cause hypertension in many people.

As a result, over the span of the past thirty years the number of people suffering from hypertension has climbed by leaps and bounds.

Attributing this sudden boom in the disease to diet, genes and other less effective causes will not allow us to overcome a condition that can be treated and cured with the right treatment program.

Why Snoring Is Life Threatening

Fibromyalgia Pain – Often Bothers Very Active People

I seethe every time I hear someone say something like, “Fibromyalgia? Oh, so they have a medical term for laziness now.” It gives the accusing suggestion that lazy individuals now have an excuse to hide their laziness behind a vaguely legitimate illness.

Well, news flash – it’s no excuse.

Fibromyalgia is a very serious condition, and it affects one of every 50 people around the world. The thing is, most of these affected individuals aren’t lazy to begin with. I’ve seen soldiers, working moms, and generally very busy individuals who develop the crippling illness as they get older.

There are even individuals who develop Fibromyalgia after a traumatic experience, such as a car crash that they survived. How do you think would these people feel if other people saw them as simply “lazy?”

Fibromyalgia is legitimate – active people naturally spend more time and effort doing their activities at night, but the syndrome keeps them from having a good night’s sleep. Experts say that Fibromyalgia sufferers need to get at least eight or nine hours of good, deep sleep every night to avoid the illness’ symptoms the following day. The normal human cell is filled with molecular oxygen, and has only a slightly alkaline pH to it.

On the other hand, the average cancer cell has an acidic pH, and a distinct lack of oxygen.

Cancer cells are not the only diseased cells that have a distinct dislike for an oxygen rich environment.

In fact, there are a lot of unhealthy cells that do not like the effects of healthy oxygen in the body.

What’s Behind Alternative Health?

Today I’ll share with you the basics behind many of my most successful healing programs. Problems such as Snoring, TMJ, Tooth grinding, Neck problems, Dizziness and Vertigo, Migraine and Headaches, Erectile dysfunction, Premature ejaculation, Fibromyalgia and even high blood pressure and being overweight could be healed by understanding this basics.

This same knowledge can be used to work on several conditions by understanding the basics behind these simple programs.

What is the basic body function ? Muscles move the bones by orders from the nerves. What if the nerves do not order the muscles to move the bones? The muscles stay still, normally. Thus, relaxed muscles will stay so until they are told by connecting nerves to create tension to move some bones. Naturally the muscles will stay stiff if they are tense, until told to relax by the nerves.

This system works extremely well, usually. Long periods of tense or unused muscles gives rise to problems, back and neck problems being the most common ones. The fact remains that most health problems are caused at least partly by chronic tension in some muscles.

Muscle tension can give rise to Four major problems :

1) Muscles move the bones and body. If some muscle groups are tense for long periods – this will cause wrong body position and can’t do their normal job thus will end up relying on other muscles around.

Most people for example, have their head pointing too much forwards. The tense neck muscles can’t balance the head which leads dependency on such other groups as jaw muscles, thus becoming a major cause for jaw related problems especially TMJ.

The breathing passage gets pressurized because of tension in the jaw and other muscles, resulting in snoring. Similarly, dizziness and vertigo are caused by imbalance in the balance system of the eyes and ears which in turn is caused by wrong head position.

2) Tension in the muscles drastically reduces blood flow and may even block veins from delivering oxygen to every cell of the body instead of supporting the same.

If this blocking happens to blood-carrying veins to the brain, it becomes really harmful thus giving rise to dizziness/vertigo, Fibromyalgia, migraine and other related headaches.  Men will suffer from erectile dysfunction if the muscles around the genitals are tense. Brain is not the only part of the body that needs oxygen filled blood.

Lack of oxygen throughout the body will even lead to obesity since the cells can’t burn the nutrition brought to them. By taking in more oxygen, you’ll lose weight.

3) Bones are locked by muscles in unnatural positions, if they are held tense for a long period of a time. The brain receives the pain signals when the bones eventually press on nerves. Including arthritis, almost all conditions that include pain are caused by tension in the muscles.

Solution?

It’s simple. Stiff muscles need to be moved and stimulated. Note that muscle positions will not change until they receive orders from the nerves that control them. Hopefully the brain is under your control, as these nerves are of course controlled by the brain. Hence, get rid of the problem by getting the muscles going.

By taking things back to the basic i have of course simplified things in this short article, yet the truth remains that solutions to many major health problems have been found by me, some of them were considered incurable by the traditional medical system. This has been effected by mostly focusing on loosening up both big and small muscles of the body. I’m discovering new conditions this simple method can heal – All the time !!

Why Vertigo and Dizziness Bothers Older People More

Ever wonder why older people seem to be more susceptible to vertigo and dizziness than younger individuals?

Dizziness is a natural reaction our bodies make to a lack of blood flow to the brain wherein our bodies instinctively try to compel us to lie horizontal in an attempt to getting more blood to reach the brain. Dizziness may be caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure, stress, or most commonly, aging.

The reason for this is that the older we get, the less effectively we breathe. The muscles in our lungs and breathing passages grow weaker and tenser as we grow older, so we don’t get as much oxygen.

In addition to this, tension in our necks also plays a role in vertigo and dizziness. The tension causes the veins that run up to the head through our neck to harden and experience blockages. So even when we do get enough oxygen, the tension in our necks keeps much of it from getting to the brain.

Finally, the tension in our necks can also change the position of our head as we get older. As you might know, we depend on harmony between the balance system in our eyes and ears to be stay upright. When our head is in an unusual position for a long period of time, even very slightly, our sense of balance crumbles eventually, leading to frequent attacks of vertigo and dizziness.

Three strikes, you’re out. It’s a whole new ball game when we get older.

Some statistics say that over 40% of Americans get some treatment at some point in their lives for vertigo. It’s sad to see many individuals having to resort to treatments that never really give them any lasting freedom from vertigo and dizziness.

Top Ten Ways to Have a Heart Attack

While there are a number of different factors that lead to heart attacks, many of which that are still largely unknown, there are a number of well known lifestyle factors that can lead to this event. Here is my very own list of the Top Ten Ways to Have a Heart Attack.

10. Smoke. Simply put, smoking is quite harmful to the health of your cardiovascular system, especially your heart. Smoking can clog your arteries, raising your blood pressure in the process. You can double your heart attack risk this way, compared to people who do not smoke.

9. Drink too much, or not enough. One drink a day, amounting to around twelve ounces of beer, five of wine or 1.5 of hard liquor can actually have a protective effect on your heart, but anything more, or less is simply not effective. In fact, if you drink too much, you can be putting your heart in serious risk because alcohol can raise your blood pressure and have other negative effects on your body.

8. Vegetate. If you do not exercise regularly, you cannot reduce stress, reduce cholesterol levels, or heal your body from issues with blood pressure or excess weight. Living a sedentary life without exercise is an excellent way to set your heart up for a heart attack.

7. Get angry. Believe it or not, simply getting angry can raise your chance of having a heart attack, making it just as dangerous as health related causes. If you frequently get angry for long periods of time, the resulting rise in blood pressure can lead to a heart attack.

6. Losing control of your cholesterol. Eating saturated fats, especially trans saturated fats, consuming too many calories, and eating foods that are not rich in nutrients can cause your cholesterol to go up, which can make you much more likely to have a heart attack in time.

5. Get stressed out. Stress is a huge factor that leads to heart disease, so getting stressed out regularly and for long periods can raise your blood pressure, and lead to heart disease and heart attacks.

4. Lose control of your blood pressure. If your blood pressure gets to be too high, your heart will have to work a lot harder to push blood through, which can cause it to enlarge, which can lead to a serious risk for heart attack later on.

3. Don’t take your health serious enough. Simply not spending enough time worrying about your health and wellness can contribute heavily to whether or not you develop heart attack symptoms. It is important that you regularly assess your health and that you pay attention to making healthy choices on a daily basis in order to keep your heart healthy.

2. Over exert yourself. Over exertion can cause the stress needed to raise your blood pressure, and by proxy, your risk of having a serious heart attack. If you have other risk factors for heart attacks, you should try not to over tax or over exert your body.

Erectile Dysfunction and Premature Ejaculation

Two disorders which plague men of all ages today are erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.

Erectile dysfunction exists when a man is incapable of providing the blood flow necessary to generate an erection. Premature ejaculation on the other hand exists when a man is incapable of “lasting”, ejaculating earlier than intended. Many men who suffer from issues relating to premature ejaculation also experience mild problems with erectile dysfunction, and the same goes the other way as well.

Both erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation can be traced back to very similar problems. They both have to do with decreased blood flow in the genital areas.

Additionally, both of these disorders have to do with stress, tension and other mental and emotional problems that can make it difficult to focus during sexual practices. While the two disorders, erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation are different in theory, in reality they have a lot more in common than anyone seems to truly realize.
