Erectile dysfunction is a condition that most men do not feel comfortable addressing. That is not surprising considering how it makes them feel.

It is sad to me to think that there are men living with the condition and its detrimental effect on their self worth, relations with their partners, and just plain embarrassment. A man could be successful in other areas of his life, but if he is suffering from E.D., those successes don’t make him feel like a man.

Erectile dysfunction or male impotency is simply that there is not enough blood pumping to the penis to make it erect and maintain that erection. So, if it’s that simple, why do men rush to the pharmacy for a prescription? Simple: their doctors tell them they have the instant remedy for them.

What causes E.D. can be a combination of things. One way to improve erectile dysfunction is to make some simple lifestyle changes. For some men, adopting a healthier lifestyle, such as quitting smoking, exercising regularly, and reducing stress, may be all that is needed to find relief.

But what if I told you that I have a proven method to cure your erectile dysfunction without medication? Think about all the side effects those prescriptions come with and imagine getting the same or better results from an all natural solution.

For those who require more intensive treatment, adopting these lifestyle changes in addition to other treatments can further help. I can share with you how I developed a powerful cure for erectile dysfunction, how I’ve helped hundreds of men to gain their desired lasting power, and how I can also help you without ever meeting you face to face.

The changes mentioned above are the best place to start. This is the best way to not only clear your life of the things that cause you anxiety, but also cause a cascade of lasting side effects. Smoking is responsible for many cancers, hypertension, dangerous blood clots, and a variety of other problems. If you knew that it also caused your ED would you be convinced to at least look at trying to quit?

Carrying extra weight is also going to impact the body’s ability to perform at peak levels…or even at normal levels. There are no good effects that come of being obese or even overweight. While this is a problem that needs a life-plan itself to correct, knowing that sexual performance is tied to it may be all you need to get motivated to make a change.

In a related vein, poor nutritional habits, even if you are slender, can have frustrating side effects. Don’t let a slim build fool you into thinking your body isn’t stressed out from lack of nutrients. Look at what is in your diet. Do you eat a lot of pre-packaged foods? Sodium and preservatives have been noted culprits in a lot of “performance” issues.

Make the commitment to begin your steps to a healthier life and you may be surprised at all the issues that become resolved. Some are big changes, some are small, but all are important if you want your body to cure itself.

For other ways to heal ED naturally, my all natural Erectile Mastery Program is designed to help you with emotional and physical causes. I show you how to increase blood flow and energy balance within your body to maximize its performance naturally. Check it out today!

Gestational diabetes is one of the lesser known forms of diabetes mellitus. In fact, most women are not even aware of it, as there are a few symptoms that are normally ascribed to the various changes that occur during pregnancy. It is important to note that gestational diabetes can occur even if there is no previous history of high blood sugar.

Gestational diabetes occurs in 3-10% pregnancies and is usually revealed in diagnostic tests performed during pregnancy. There is also no known reason why blood sugar levels shoot up in some pregnant women, but it is believed that it is due to hormonal changes associated with pregnancy. Hormones produced during pregnancy are believed to increase insulin resistance, which impairs glucose tolerance. Insulin resistance is classified as diabetes mellitus type II, a condition where the body’s cells are unable to absorb glucose to derive energy.

According to its medical definition, gestational diabetes is ‘any degree of glucose intolerance with the onset or first recognition of pregnancy.’ Although associated with pregnancy, this does not rule out the possibility of prevalence of undiagnosed diabetes type II before pregnancy. The bottom line is that it can be diagnosed, but whether diabetes subsides after childbirth, it is open to doubt.

Insulin resistance normally develops in the second trimester and progresses to levels seen in non-pregnant diabetes type II patients. While insulin cannot cross the placenta, glucose can readily travel across and expose the fetus to high glucose levels leading to high insulin levels. Insulin has a growth stimulating effect and may cause excessive growth and large body. Besides problems with childbirth, when high glucose disappears after birth, the high insulin level in the baby can cause abnormally low blood sugar.

Risks of developing gestational diabetes include overweight, previous diagnosis of gestational diabetes and/or insulin resistance, family history, and pregnancy in a later age (over 35 years). Women who smoke are also at a higher risk of developing gestational diabetes.

Universal screening is advisable, because gestational diabetes may also occur in women without any demonstrable risk factors. Some women do not exhibit any symptoms, whereas others may experience increased thirst and urination, fatigue, nausea, and vomiting. Some of these are also associated with pregnancy itself, which is another reason why screening is recommended for all pregnant women.

The key factor in gestational diabetes is glucose tolerance. There may be cases of abnormal glucose tolerance testing with normal blood sugar during fasting and two hours after meals. If this is the case, then it is treatable with modification in diet, which is sufficient to bring down blood sugar levels.

However, in some women, high blood sugar during fasting and 2 hours after meals may accompany abnormal glucose tolerance testing. In this case, there may be a need of additional therapy along with diet modification.

Our diabetes guide contains detailed information about how blood sugar can be lowered in a natural way, helping to eliminate risks to the baby.

On a short flight from Cleveland to Denver a few weeks back, I began to develop increasing headaches. Then, nausea followed by mild dizziness.

Headaches are extremely unusual for me now days so I was wondering if I was getting sick. But I didn’t really feel like I had the flu.

This was after waking up from my usual “taking off nap”.

I quickly began to practice some of the deep breathing exercises I teach in my migraine and headache program. I started feeling better.

What I realized, however, was that the air was unusually stuffy, even for a packed airplane. And I was sitting in the front where the air is usually better than in the back.

Alas, the captain had for some reason shut off most of the airflow in the plane. I guess he did that to save energy or something.

I looked around me and saw that a lot of the people were also kind of drained looking. I bet they had the same headache as I did.

Out of curiosity, I pulled out my small body oxygen meter and put it on my finger. As I expected, my oxygen level was unusually low.

So I called the flight attendant and asked her to have the captain turn the air back on. She gave me some “flim-flam” but eventually the air was placed back on again.

As if a switch had been flipped, everyone began to smile and talk again. My nausea and dizziness was almost immediately gone and my headache was gone in three minutes.

I inhaled the semi-fresh air and thought to myself, “yet another example that my migraine/headache program as well as my vertigo/dizziness program are based on solid ground.”

Lack of oxygen immediately causes headaches, nausea and dizziness.

This was only for a few minutes. Think about the consequences if the oxygen deprivation had remained for hours, days and years.

Millions of people are not taking in enough oxygen on a daily basis causing chronic vertigo and dizziness, headaches and migraine and probably most serious in the long run: dementia-associated illnesses such as Alzheimer’s.

I’ve written a lot about this. Depending on your interest, check out our guides on Vertigo , Headaches and Dementia to learn more.

I am sure we all know someone that has struggled with his/her weight. It’s not always easy to get those stubborn pounds to go away. I have received a number of emails from readers telling me about their battle with weight loss.

The fact is that your weight has a major impact on your health. High blood pressure, fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, diabetes and depression are a few of the conditions an overweight person may be more inclined to experience. If you have ever been overweight or are overweight now, you understand what I mean. In addition, most often low self esteem also accompanies the physical issues.

There are people who just simply seem unale to lose a single pound, even though they may be eating healthy and exercising. In this case, it’s not uncommon that they just give up. Their motivation is there, but the fact that the results are not is discouraging. But consider that there is something blocking their body from losing weight.

Weight loss may have a direct relation to a low active thyroid disease. This can lower your metabolism and make it hard to lose weight. Your thyroid is like the central station for metabolism control. When you have a hypothyroidism this can cause fatigue, weakness, and rapid weight gain.

Many women with hypothyroidism are post-menopausal. This can be from the natural cessation of the menstrual cycle or surgical menopause. The results are usually the same.

Studies published in recent years put the number of people (and not just post-menopausal women) affected by an under-active thyroid gland at more than 10 million. Men are affected, too. The causes can frequently be traced to too much sugar in his diet as well as a lack of iodine.

Other symptoms of the thyroid gland not functioning properly are hair loss, nervousness, tremors and loss of sleep. These symptoms, in addition to stubborn weight gain, also occur in other conditions, so the thyroid can be overlooked.

The good news is that simple blood tests can determine if your thyroid gland is functioning properly or not. Once discovered, a thyroid condition is relatively easy to treat in many cases…even naturally. This makes losing the excess pounds much easier and another benefit is getting rid of the other nuisance conditions mentioned above.

Simple diet changes and other lifestyle adjustments are frequently all that are needed to turn the weight loss stop sign completely around when you have a thyroid condition.

Even if you aren’t certain that you have a thyroid problem or you are tired of trying all the latest and greatest diets, my totally unique Weight Loss Breeze program has been proven effective time and time again.

Canola Oil: NOT the Magical Cholesterol Solution

I had a frustrated customer contacting me the other day asking why we didn’t give Canola Oil the weight it deserves in our Blue Heron Cholesterol Guide.

After all, everyone is raving about it. It’s sold in most health food stores and some people consider it a magical solution for lowering cholesterol.

And it’s in pretty much EVERYTHING!

I answered that we actually gave it too much weight in our guide. We mentioned it once. In the next edition we’re going to take it completely out.

The answer was pretty harsh so now I owe this customer and you a little explanation.

First of all we have to look at what Canola really stands for.

You see, Sunflower oil comes from sunflowers, Coconut oil from Coconuts, Safflower oil from Safflowers etc. Self-explainable, right.

So we would have to assume that Canola oil had to come from some plant called Canola.

Not so.

Canola stands for “Canada” and “Oil”. It has nothing to with the plant it’s made from, which is called Rapeseed.

Rapeseed is in the mustard family and has been considered magical in oil industry for decades. It’s been used to make anything from bio-diesel to soaps and industrial oils. It’s highly poisonous, causing irritation and blindness in both humans and animals.

Rapeseed oil was widely fed to cows in England a few years back. After the mad cow decease hype came up there, one of the actions farmers took was to remove rapeseed oil. It was never officially blamed but no case of mad cow has come up since it was removed.

Canola oil is a genetically engineered from Rapeseed. So on the surface it doesn’t appear to be as poisoned as its parent plant. But I’m still wary about using or recommending it.

Just the fact that the plant is genetically engineered should flash some warning signs for health food stores or anyone interested in natural and organic health food. Then the fact that it’s genetically engineered from a plant that’s considered highly poisonous.

I think you get my drift.

The Blue Heron Cholesterol guide , written by my friend Scott Davis has fantastic tips for naturally lowering your cholesterol, quickly and hassle free – without risking using dubious things like a genetically engineered poison plant.

I highly recommend you check it out now.

Recently I had the pleasure to sit next to a very nice older gentleman on a long flight from Newark to Munich. We quickly began to discuss everything under the stars and one subject that came up was his high blood pressure.

I told him about my High Blood Pressure Exercise Program and how effective it is. He was interested but when I began explaining how the exercises work, he was skeptical and said his blood pressure was not stress related.

Pretty much everyone in his family on both sides going back several generations had hypertension. In fact, his father had died of a heart attack at age 53.

I’ve heard this objection so many times that I was not surprised at all. After all, there are so many things that can cause high blood pressure: high cholesterol, genetic factors, bad diet and most of the time … no known cause.

Although everyone ‘and their brother’ seems to be complaining about too much stress or worries, not everyone who has high blood pressure lives a stressful live.

So how can exercises that seem to be mostly focusing on relaxation help with non stress-related hypertension?

Let’s first look at what hypertension really is:

You see, everyone has blood pressure higher than the recommended 120/80 level from time to time. It’s actually quite normal. For example, you may be rushing to get somewhere, running around or having a fight with the boss. It’s a healthy response from the body to deal with a situation that needs more energy than normal.

It’s kind of like pushing down on the gas pedal when passing a truck on the highway…

If everything is healthy in your body, your blood pressure will quickly drop down once you’ve completed the task that needed the extra load of energy. It’s only a problem if the blood pressure stays high throughout most of the day.

But let’s check out what happens if, for example, you have a high level of cholesterol built up in your arteries.

Since the arteries are narrower than normal (due to the cholesterol built up), the heart has to pump with more force than before to get enough blood flow around the body to deal with the need for extra energy (to get to the store in time for example).

This creates more pressure in the arteries. Arteries already under stress have a hard time taking this added pressure. So to protect themselves from the pressure, the arteries begin to harden. It’s like a blister under your feet when you walk around bare-footed. And just like a blister, the hardened arteries tend to crack. In those cracks, more cholesterol builds up and creates even worse pressure.

Now, the heart has this function of normalizing pressure. So when you have to pep it up the heart has a tough time delivering enough blood. If an organ could have an internal dialogue it would be something like “okay, now I have to keep this up all the time - higher pressure is normal”.

This is similar to a person living in a hot place getting used to the heat and feeling it’s normal. I grew up in Iceland. The hottest summer day is 76F/25C. Now I consider that just a normal thing and anything less than that in the summer cold.

Your body functions in the same way with blood pressure. Little by little it begins to think 140/100 is normal due to the overwhelming pressure in the arteries from the cholesterol buildup.

What the Focused Break (in the Blood Pressure Exercises ) does is relax your body and mind in a specific way and drop your blood pressure for a few minutes at the same time. Since you’re relaxed, there is no need for the extra blood load to push on the arteries. Therefore, the arterial walls are not under attack.

As you do the exercises, the heart begins to normalize again with the lower pressure. Because the arteries are not pressed, they begin to soften again and the cracks begin to heal. Little by little, the cholesterol buildup in the arteries gets absorbed by the body.

(Yes, the body does absorb the cholesterol when the arteries soften. Not all doctors will agree but there are endless examples of this).

The negative hypertension process has been reversed.

I explained all of this to my newly found traveling pal. He was still skeptical. So I told what I tell everyone. “Just try it.” I pulled out my blood pressure monitor (never leave home without it). His readying was 160/105. Then I loaned him my iPod and played the first exercise. He then did exercises two and three. We took his blood pressure again: 135/88. Amazed, he said that was the lowest number he had seen for years.

When we parted, I gave him my card and told him to keep on practicing.

Yesterday, I received an email from him. It has been a week since the flight.

The first thing he did when he woke up from the jet lag nap that day was visit my website and order my exercises. He did each of the exercises every day and his blood pressure steadily dropped, day by day.

The reason he emailed me was that his blood pressure was down to 119/76 - well within the healthy range.

He did not change his diet at all and he swore his blood pressure had been 100% genetically caused.

He loved the blood pressure program so much that now he’s working the Weight Loss Breeze program . I can’t wait to hear about

With summer in full swing in the northern hemisphere, I am getting a number of emails regarding a very sensitive matter…premature ejaculation and how to cure it.

When you say the words, “premature ejaculation,” it makes most men nervous. The fact is that it’s not a medical condition and very seldom does it have a physical cause. That’s the good news. An contrary o some beliefs, it’s not the outward anatomy that matters either.

The bad news is that it’s emotional and mental. There’s no magic pill to remedy the condition. But, it’s only bad news if you choose to let it control you and don’t seek help in treating it.

Premature ejaculation is only premature in the eyes of the beholder and his partner. It simply means that you are ejaculating before you and your partner would like you to. The very name itself, implies that the man is somehow "underdeveloped" or "not fully mature".

For the man, P.E. can lead to loss of confidence, depression, anxiety, self loathing, and withdrawing from his partner. The man can feel inadequate in performing and pleasing his partner. He loses confidence in his sexual performance. He may then withdraw from his partner because of these feelings and possibly avoid sexual relations completely.

Generally, people want to be successful in all things and this desire doesn’t stop outside the bedroom door. It’s a real ego boost to be able to satisfy and fulfill his partner. He wants to show his partner how much he cares through passion and sexual stimulation, but with a perception o having P.E. he may feel that he can’t handle the level of sexual intensity.

With all these emotions brewing, it’s no wonder self worth suffers. It’s as if he has a task to complete and he just can’t get the job done. His partner may not even know he is experiencing these feelings. The partner may then come to have the same emotions, not realizing that it stems from the man’s P.E. So then you are left with a relationship in a vicious cycle. Each partner is feeling the same emotions.

It doesn’t have to be this way. First of all, communication is important in any relationship. Imagine, however, being able to gain control over your intimate experiences and enjoying the sex you should.

Remember I said there is no magic pill for P.E. I have developed a simple step by step that will permanently eliminate your premature ejaculation and make you a marathon man in bed. So if you or someone you know has P.E., make sure you check out my guide to Stop Premature Ejaculation .

When you think of addiction, you may think alcohol or drugs. However, addictions can come in the form of not only substance but behavioral as well.

A good friend of mine has been sober for nearly 15 years. I commend him for this accomplishment. It was not an easy feat for him though. The first step was actually admitting that he had an addiction to alcohol and drugs. Once he hit an all time low in his life, he had no other option than to admit the addiction and seek help.

Do you think it’s easy to admit that you may have an addiction? My friend had to go through all the emotions of guilt, anxiety and depression. He also spent sleepless nights thinking about how he felt he was a failure. The interesting part of his story is that he was financially successful. What drove him to the addictions were the levels of stress he was experiencing every day.

My friend found his sobriety not through a rehabilitation center, but though natural methods. I’ll talk more about those methods in a bit.

On the other hand, I have another friend who was addicted to cleaning. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but she was obsessed with it. She lost quality time with friends and family because she felt her home was not clean enough. Rather than getting out and experiencing life, she was living her life through the eyes of your local cleaning service. Not to mention, she was always tired and couldn’t sleep.

There are a number of other types of addictions. It seems hard to believe, but there are people actually addicted to computers, video games and casinos. Couples are divorcing because one spouse refuses to leave the computer. It’s very sad to think that an inanimate object like that can break up a family. But it happens all the time.

Now that we’ve talked about a few different types of addictions, it’s time to talk about some of the reasons these addictions come about. Each of us are unique individuals. We deal with life in our own ways. People with addictions are dealing with various types of emotions that not only lead to the addiction, but enhance the addiction.

Have you ever known someone to say that they have a few cocktails before bed because it helps them sleep? It’s actually the exact opposite. Alcohol disturbs your sleep pattern and doesn’t allow you to reach the deep sleep state where your body goes into repairing itself.

I know we all have stresses, anxieties and pain in our lives, but how do we deal with them? Turning to substance or behavioral addiction is not the answer. And you don’t have to use medications that come with nasty side effects in many cases. There are natural methods of dealing with all these issues that can give you the quality of life you are looking for.

Imagine living a life that’s full of joy, relaxation, peace, and empowerment. The most effective plans are comprehensive natural methods. The key to combating co-conditions that contribute to the addiction process are reducing stress , improving sleep , and relieving pain .

If you or someone you know is struggling with an addiction, no matter what that addiction is, I encourage you to do careful research on the variety of natural methods that are available. A reliable treatment center in your area can help guide your treatment activities and combine the best methods while honoring your demand for natural treatment alternatives.

Tell me the difference between Alzheimer’s and Dementia

I am often asked what the difference is between Alzheimer’s and dementia. While it is a valid question, we find it interesting that Alzheimer’s is actually just a form of dementia. But Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. Studies show that Alzheimer’s accounts for up to 80% of dementia cases.

Since Dementia isn’t actually a specific disease, it describes a group of symptoms. These symptoms affect the function of the brain including behavior, memory, thinking, language, and judgment. And it goes way beyond just being forgetful at times.

I remember years ago, before all the research of Dementia and Alzheimer’s really took hold, that it was somewhat expected that as you age you would experience loss of memory, loss of mental focus and the ability to effectively take care of yourself on a daily basis. It was just part of “getting old”.

I am sure that we all know someone who has suffered from Alzheimer’s. It’s sad to see how the symptoms progress and how they become a completely different person. Their quality of life dwindles. Depression may set in. Sometimes they just sit and stare at the wall. They may become confused or irritable. The progression eventually it leads to death.

What we have learned is that Alzheimer’s is actually a fatal brain disease that can progress rapidly, if not treated early on. Your physician may tell you that there is no cure, but will gladly prescribe medication for you. But do you want your loved ones to have to deal with the side effects that all prescription medications come with?

What if your loved one could effectively treat the early symptoms of Alzheimer’s naturally? You could watch them get their life back. Their thinking becomes clearer. They aren’t so forgetful. They can enjoy family and friends on a daily basis and the activities they so love. And, studies have also shown, that stimulation is a critical element is slowing the progression.

I ask this question because the program that I was so fortunate to discover and help create has allowed me to actually watch individuals become active in life again. I have received many letters and emails from people thanking me and telling me how wonderful it is to see their loved ones flourish.

I invite you to check out my natural Alzheimer’s program today.

One of my readers recently wrote in asking for information about the causes of high levels of anxiety and how it affects mind racing. This leads to insomnia.

Obviously, if your mind is racing and you are experiencing anxiety, it’s difficult to slow your mind enough to relax and go to sleep. Many people suffer from this daily, but they don’t have to.

Let’s be honest. In today’s society of instant gratification, get it done now and it can’t wait until tomorrow, it’s no wonder people have trouble sleeping.

When you think of insomnia, you think that it’s just not being able to fall asleep. In actuality, it’s much more than that. Your everyday activities are in direct relation to the quality of sleep you get each night.

You lay in bed, hoping to fall asleep. Counting sheep doesn’t work. You just can’t stop thinking about all the things on your to do lists. And it seems the harder you try to fall asleep, the longer you stay awake. Then you try turning on the television, thinking that will help. You toss and turn all night or wake at 1am and can’t go back to sleep. Some people even think that having a few cocktails before bed will help them sleep, when in actuality, alcohol disturbs your sleep pattern.

Does any of this sound familiar to you? Don’t feel alone. There have been points in my life that even I have had trouble falling asleep. Therefore, I can relate and understand how frustrating it can be. You may even dread going to bed because you know what you are in for. You want to throw the alarm clock across the room because it’s waking you up when you feel like you just got to sleep. You feel like you are missing out on life because you feel like a walking zombie.

In other articles, we’ve talked about sleep being the time that your body regenerates and heals itself. If you aren’t sleeping, your body is suffering in more ways than one. It is imperative that you get 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. Your body will not only thank you, your mind will as well.

We all know there are medications your doctor can prescribe to help you sleep. But have you thought about what the medication is doing to your body? Have you heard the horror stories of people taking medication and finding out they have actually gotten up out of bed and left their home in the middle of the night? That’s a very scary thought. And that doesn’t include what it could be doing to your body that you don’t see. Lawyers are making huge amounts of money by suing pharmaceutical companies on behalf of clients that have taken medication and experienced awful side effects.

Insomnia and the anxiety and mind racing that comes with it really doesn’t have to require medication to cure. There are many natural alternatives that are much healthier for you. Journaling each night before you go to bed is a great start because it’s like you are releasing all your cares for the day. Learning to relax is imperative.

I have a program that has been proven successful for many people including friends and family. It’s simple yet effective and anyone can use it. I encourage you to check out my natural insomnia program .
